Phiolent Professional PM 3-600E

Phiolent is the largest manufacturer of affordable construction power tools in Eastern Europe. The PM 3-600E is a fairly powerful manual jigsaw for just $50.

Inconvenient but safe

The model turned out to be quite weighty — 2.5 kg. In general, looking at the instrument, you understand that it is made in the best traditions of the Soviet past. Rough design, poor ergonomics. There is no protective shield, the handle is not rubberized, so it is advisable to work with glasses and gloves. But the lack of ergonomics has its pluses.

The tool is made of good quality and has most of the metal parts, including a steel sole with 2 carbide positioners for additional fixation of the file during work, even though it is stamped. However this has little effect on the accuracy of the cut, here it is far from the best, due to the lack of a guide roller.

Functional

But performance is top notch. The 600 W motor allows you to work without stopping for a long time. The jigsaw provides sawing of wood up to 85 mm thick, steel — up to 10 mm, soft metals — up to 20 mm, at an angle of 90 to 45º to the surface, as well as sawing with a line of holes with a diameter of 80 to 460 mm.

Electronic and manual speed control up to 2600 strokes / min help to carefully work with various types of materials. The adjustment wheel is located on the start button, it is convenient to press it and at the same time adjust the speed with one finger.

The saw blade is changed with a screwdriver, it is long and inconvenient. But pleases with a large stroke amplitude — 26 mm and three modes of operation of the pendulum mechanism.

The sawdust blower system allows you to clearly see the place of the cut. But the connection of the vacuum cleaner is not provided.

In general, the PM 3-600E is an excellent workhorse, reliable and performant, albeit not very comfortable and without any bells and whistles. But given the price, you can close your eyes to this drawback.
