Very Powerful
The Promate brand car charger is equipped with three ports and is capable of providing connected devices with a total power output of up to 230W. This is truly an impressive figure, allowing you to quickly charge not only smartphones and tablets but also most modern laptops. The two Type C ports can operate in a 140 + 45W mode, with the first achieving such power thanks to support for the PD 3.1 standard. The USB-A port is also capable of delivering up to 45W. All three ports can be used simultaneously without reducing the stated values. Additional versatility of the Promate PowerDrive-230 is ensured by the support for Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging and Huawei Fast Charge Protocols.
No Overheating
The charger is well adapted for intensive use and can maintain maximum output power for a long time without noticeable drops. This is facilitated by the metal case, which efficiently dissipates heat, as well as a set of modern protective systems. For visual control of the charging process, there is lighting in the form of two blue rings.
The length of the case is almost 8 cm, so the device does not fully sink into a standard car cigarette lighter. At the same time, the model looks neat and not bulky, thanks to the moderate diameter of the upper part, which is 4.3 cm.
For Cars and Trucks
The device features a built-in voltage boosting module, thanks to which cars with a 12V onboard network can operate in a 20V/5A mode, outputting up to 100W to one port. The maximum 140W is available only in trucks, however, even with this consideration, the Promate PowerDrive-230 remains a universal solution for most drivers.
