The wall-mounted electric heating boiler Protherm Skat 6KE/14 is designed for a universal type of connection (220 or 400 V) and heating of small areas. The modern single-circuit model, which has undergone a number of changes in the design and internal layout of the elements, is now made in the same style with gas heating boilers. The device is equipped with a 6 kW continuously modulated electric heater unit, a 2-stage circulation pump with built-in blocking protection, an 8 L expansion tank, an automatic air vent valve, and an integrated eBus communication bus that expands the control of the device. By connecting an external DHW tank with a 3-way valve (option), the boiler will be able to produce hot water both in winter and in summer. The function of the overrun of the pump, which continues to work for some time after the heating elements are turned off, and the thermal fuse help prevent overheating of the boiler. The anti-freeze function is implemented by automatically turning on the pump at a coolant temperature of 8 °C and turning it off when it reaches a temperature of 10 °C, and the built-in water pressure sensor will prevent the circulation of the coolant in the heating system from being disturbed.

The device is equipped with an advanced electronic control system with self-diagnostics and a set of sensors that monitor the performance of each node. The device can be included in a cascade heating system, which allows to significantly increase the heating power, and can also be used in a two-tariff energy consumption grid, saving on electricity during night hours. If the operating rules prescribed by the manufacturer are observed, the boiler will last at least 10 years.
