Good sprayer for 6 liters of solution

Almost all parts of the RACO 4240-55/556 sprayer, including the 6 liter tank, are made of molded polyethylene or plastic. Therefore, the device as a whole turned out to be very light — only 1.5 kg. Even when the capacity is filled to the eyeballs, it is convenient to carry it on the shoulder (there is a belt included). Pressure is pumped using a pump. The mouth of the tank is wide — it is difficult to miss or splash the solution when you pour water or chemicals into the sprayer from a bucket. But, despite the presence of a measuring scale on the wall, the liquid level in the container is not very visible, since the plastic is not transparent. You have to shake the tank from side to side to notice where the water's edge is.

Simple and secure

The sprayer has a narrow aluminium “rod” connected to the tank with a 1.5 m hose. The switch has a lock for continuous watering and protection against accidental activation. By rotating the nozzle at the end of the "rod", you can change the shape of the torch and the intensity of spraying. The design of the nozzle is quite successful: even if particles of debris or grains of incompletely dissolved chemicals come across in the water, the nozzle does not clog, but continues to pass liquid.

Not for the Far North and aggressive chemicals

RACO 4240-55/556 (as well as its 8-liter counterpart from the same manufacturer) is suitable for those who care for a small garden or vegetable garden. When buying, keep in mind that the plastic from which the tank is made does not like very aggressive chemicals and does not tolerate frost well (cracks may appear on the containers). Therefore, you should not leave the device outside if you expect frost, and in winter it should be stored indoors. If you plan to work with "strong" chemicals, then it is better to buy a more suitable RACO 4240-54/500 sprayer, which is made of materials resistant to aggressive acid and alkaline environments.
