The Korean manufacturer Raifil has been pleasing users who want to receive high quality drinking water in their own home for several years. The minds of the company specialize in various types of water treatment: reverse osmosis, microfiltration, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration. The RAIFIL Novo 5 model uses the ultrafiltration principle.

Appearance and fastening

The presented model of the flow filter is made of high-quality plastic and received a simple flask design of standard sizes, which allows you not to spend a lot of time looking for "unique" consumables, but to use replaceable cartridges from other manufacturers. The build quality is worthy of attention, since the Koreans did not save on plastic, so you should not worry about cracks appearing on the flask.

The first flask is made of transparent plastic, which will allow you to watch how your filter gets dirty day after day, a sight not pleasant, but useful. Due to the presence of special labels on the flasks, you will not get confused when changing cartridges, and convenient fastening with a metal plate will allow you to securely fix the filter yourself.

Cleaning principle

As mentioned earlier, the presented model purifies water according to the principle of ultrafiltration. The technology will allow getting rid of harmful organic impurities, heavy metals and pesticides thanks to a set of membranes through which water passes. It should be understood that the cleaning process using membranes does not provide the retention of salts and minerals, so scale on the kettle will still appear over time. The basic filter kit, consisting of polypropylene, coal-granulate and coal briquettes, which allows for five-stage cleaning, can be completed with a cartridge with softening resin that retains hardness cations.

Equipment

The kit, though not very rich, but such a set is quite enough to install the system yourself. In the box you will find: a sink tap with an adapter for mounting variations (tube, thread), the necessary adapters, and even Teflon tape for a more secure fit.
