Thanks to moderate power (12 W) and high-quality speakers, it provides confident sound, the volume of which can be additionally adjusted using the rotary control on the side of the right speaker. The REAL-EL S-217 speaker system is connected to the signal source using a non-detachable cable with a 3-pin miniJack 3.5mm connector. In addition to computers, it can be used to easily connect to any device equipped with an analog output, including TVs and game consoles.

One of the two speakers is active and contains a power supply and an audio frequency amplifier (2 channels of 6 W). The second speaker is passive, connected to the active one and equipped only with speakers. 2.6-inch (66 mm) woofers and small tweeters provide accurate reproduction of a wide frequency range, which is sufficient for listening to music, watching videos and computer games.
