We purchased it when our child was just under 3 years old, and it was quite uncomfortable, so I would recommend getting it exactly at the age specified there. Once they grew, it became just right and the headrest fit properly. The seat contains foam that adapts to the child's body shape, and it doesn’t make them sweat!!! Although that was our biggest concern. There are also impact-absorbing pads on the sides of the seat, like mini airbags in case of a side impact, and the seat is also equipped with armrests, making it comfortable for the child and providing additional protection.
