After more than half of the employees were fired in the spring, the authorities decided to save on central heating and we were told that it would not appear in the entire building and only when there was a real threat of freezing communications. And in order for us not to cut the oak, employees who have stationary jobs in relatively small rooms were given such fan heaters. I just got into the number of lucky ones and got acquainted with this device in detail. You know, there is a concept called "cheap and cheerful"? Well, that's exactly about this fan heater. I checked the price lists and saw that it is one of the cheapest models available on our market. However, not everything about it is so "cheerful and cheap." It heats quite well. Based on the readings from the ammeter, and I took the time to connect and check it, it generates one and a half kilowatts of heat. Given its price, that's forgivable. The most important thing is that the fan blows well and quickly mixes the warm air with the cold air, heating it. It makes moderate noise. Well, moderately, it hums decently, of course. But the noise is more or less even, more like a hum, without mechanical overtones. So it's noticeable, but it's not irritating. The power output is 25 percent overestimated, that is, it's 1500 watts instead of the promised 2000. It seems like the plastic used for the fan heater's casing is not just "secondary," but "tertiary." The heating element is the cheapest, spiral type. Our industrial dust (sodium salts of alkylbenzene sulfonic acids) "successfully" sticks to it, and when heated, the odor is indescribable. |
