What to choose: slow cooker, pressure cooker or rice cooker? What is the difference between slow cooker, pressure cooker and rice cooker, what are their advantages and disadvantages
Model overview based on user reviews
The Rotex REPC57 is a convenient and economical multicooker that excels in cooking grains like rice, wheat, and buckwheat, offering a "pour in the grains and forget" ease of use. While it may not be ideal for complex, multistage dishes, it is perfect for everyday cooking and is particularly praised for its ability to cook peas to a tender perfection. However, its performance in baking, such as bread, is less impressive, often resulting in underbaked outcomes. Despite this, the appliance is considered a worthy option for its price, with users appreciating its durability, as it has functioned well for several years. The Rotex REPC57 is a reliable choice for those seeking to save time and energy in the kitchen.
Pros

Cons

An inexpensive multicooker that copes well with cereals, but not with flour
17 April 2017
I once underestimated the capabilities of multicookers and considered this kind of technique to be ordinary marketing nonsense. I was convinced by the example of my mother, who bought herself such a model. Being with her, I was convinced that the use of such a machine allows you to save a lot of time and not twitch over trifles to the stove. In general, now I also cook roasts and cereals exclusively in this multicooker, especially since we have an electric stove, and the multicooker consumes electricity more economically than the hob.
The multicooker is very convenient. I won't go into detail about how you can cook just about anything in it. Overall, I believe that all this advertising hype surrounding such appliances is more likely to repel any sensible person than to attract them. After all, it's impractical to make complex dishes with multistage preparation in a multicooker; classic cookware and a stove are much more suitable for that. However, rice, wheat and buckwheat porridge, oatmeal, and other grain-based products can and should be cooked in a multicooker. The principle of "pour in the grains and forget" is very helpful in everyday cooking. I especially like how peas cook in it. The simplest pea porridge, thanks to the even heating, turns out to be exceptionally tasty and perfectly tender. It does take more time than cooking on a stovetop, but it's worth it.
Cooking pastries in it is like throwing food in a trash can. I tried the bread programme twice and both times it turned out to be an undergrown and underbaked misunderstanding that doesn’t even look like bread.
It's still working; the seal has stretched, and the bowl is worn out. I'm going to buy the same one.
