Sanity MD 5940

Automatic blood pressure monitor with arm cuff and built-in rechargeable battery, introduced to the market in 2024 as an entry-level model for daily monitoring of blood pressure in adults. It uses a non-invasive oscillometric measurement method with an inflatable cuff placed around the arm. Recommended for pregnant women, people with hypertension, diabetes, congenital or acquired heart defects, as well as patients who have experienced a heart attack.

A standout feature of the device is its large 3-inch digital display with character height of 2.7 cm, providing excellent readability of results even for users with impaired vision. The user-friendly operation involves pressing a single button, after which the measurement starts automatically, and the result appears on the screen shortly afterward. The Sanity MD 5940 blood pressure monitor remembers up to 120 measurements for each of the two users with date and time stamps, allowing tracking of measurement trends without paper notes.

The AVG function calculates the average value over seven days to help assess the overall trend of pressure changes over the week. If arrhythmia is detected, a heart symbol appears on the screen, indicating rhythm disturbance. The WHO color scale clearly classifies the results, showing their correspondence to normal values. The standard cuff size of 22-32 cm with printed instructions suits most adults.

Charging is done via a common Micro USB port, which is more convenient than traditional batteries, although it can also operate with four AAA batteries (providing about 300 measurements).
