German quality is the standard that many manufacturers strive for. Equipment from the German brand Siemens is the key to reliable and durable operation, and the LC 65KA270 hood is one of the real proofs of this.

Laconic design

Looking at the conciseness of the “German” design, the phrase “everything ingenious is simple” comes to mind. The LC 65KA270 contains a minimum of parts and is only available in two colours: black and white. The quality of metal and glass parts is beyond praise. The hood looks really solid and expensive.

At the limit

The device has a capacity of up to 540 m³ / h. This is enough for high-quality maintenance of premises up to 20 m² with a standard ceiling height of 2.5 m. The motor operates at three speeds, but maintains an intensive mode (by pressing the speed button again), which turns on for 6 minutes, after which the hood returns to the previous mode. A long press on the speed key turns on the timer for 15 minutes, after which the hood turns off automatically.

At the third speed, the noise level of the device reaches 70 dB, which is quite uncomfortable and can be compared with street noise during rush hour. It will be almost as noisy at the second speed (65 dB). And only at the first (50 dB) the hood works relatively quietly, however, it draws almost twice as weakly, but it can cope with a kitchen up to 10 m² without problems.

Simple control

Touch control is as simple as possible. It consists of only 4 keys: speed control and backlight. The backlight can work independently of the hood, however, there will be little sense from it during cooking, 2 LED lamps of 3 W are suitable, perhaps, to create an intimate atmosphere in the kitchen.

As you can see, not everything German is perfect, and Siemens LC 65KA270 is not without flaws. This is noise and a considerable cost — 300-odd dollars. On the other side of the scale — reliability and status. The choice is not easy, but only one of two.
