Description flash SIGMA EF-500 DG Super

The SIGMA EF-500 DG Super is a versatile, precise and powerful flash. The device is designed to illuminate objects in complete darkness, illuminate shadows that appear in direct sunlight, create specific image effects, and also for working in a studio.

The SIGMA EF-500 DG Super flash head rotates both horizontally (180 degrees left, 90 degrees right) and vertical (7 degrees down, 90 degrees up) planes. The flash angle is automatically matched to the focal length of the lens in the range from 28 mm to 105 mm, and if necessary, it is possible to set the focal length value manually. The wide-angle diffuser built into the flash head allows the SIGMA EF-500 DG Super to be used with lenses having a focal length of 17mm.

Depending on the goals and objectives of the survey, as well as the type of equipment used, you can select the pulse power control mode. The choice is possible between TTL-automatic and manual modes. In TTL auto mode, the flash measures light in the E-TTL system. In manual mode, the power changes in the range from 1/1 to 1/128.
The SIGMA EF-500 DG Super flash has a full range of functions and programs to realize almost any creative idea.

The SIGMA EF-500 DG Super has a 2nd curtain sync mode for natural movement. Highlight shadows and smooth out the contrast that occurs when shooting in bright sunlight, perhaps using fast shutter speed sync mode up to 1/8000 sec.
When the need arises, using the modeling light mode, you can evaluate the pattern of light and shadow on the subject. For precise dosing of the pulse power, an exposure compensation mode is provided. The multiple flash mode (stroboscopic) allows you to follow the phases of the object’s movement on one frame, the pulse frequency is adjustable from 1Hz to 199Hz, the number of consecutive pulses can reach up to 100. When shooting in complete darkness or trying to focus on an object with low contrast, for autofocus sensors, an additional backlight. The SIGMA EF-500 DG Super flash has an infrared emitter that provides additional autofocus illumination in the range of 0.7 – 7m.
