After a month of use, an annoying whistle appeared at low speed, which I turn on at night. I connected to the xiaomi gateway and jumped into the Home Assistant. The DISCS are a separate joke, two weeks after purchase they started to smell, become slimy and yellow, at first I didn't pay attention, later I had to wash them by hand, in the dishwasher (under cold water sprinkling, under hot I don't recommend, they can warp, but I haven't tried it), but the outcome is the same - it requires your attention, it will become your second friend))))). Died after 3 months of work. I just stopped turning it on and that's it. Before this, I can’t say that it worked super well. Humidifies small rooms, it is advisable to close the doors. Introduced in 2018, the device of the popular Xiaomi brand is an air washer that not only humidifies, but also cleans it: large contaminants are kept by a pre-filter, and dust is kept by water in the tank.
With a maximum humidification intensity of 240 mL/h, a full 4-liter tank will last for 16.5 hours of continuous operation. There are 3 speeds and an auto mode to choose from. The noise level does not exceed 35 dB, which is comparable to ultrasonic counterparts. It is recommended to use Xiaomi Smartmi Air Humidifier 2 in rooms up to 36 m².
Simple design
The body of the model is made of plastic and consists of two elements. In the upper part there are two fans responsible for taking in air and returning it to the room after humidification. The lower element is a tank with moistening disks, which are removed from the drum axle for cleaning, which is typical of many modern models.
It is stated that the Xiaomi Smartmi Air Humidifier 2 water tank has a special antibacterial coating on the walls, designed to prevent the development of harmful bacteria. Another feature is the practical top filling, which single water humidifiers can boast of.

The humidifier is equipped with a Wi-Fi module, which allows you to control it from your smartphone and integrate the device into the smart home ecosystem. In the Mi Home proprietary application (a special Smartmi Humidifier plugin), in addition to remote turning on or off, various settings are offered, including turning off sounds, changing the brightness of the backlight, completely blocking (parental control) the control panel and setting a sleep timer. Additionally, a dry air mode is available in the software: it starts an 8-hour operation after the tank is completely empty in order to dry the main components of the device.
In addition to Wi-Fi, there is also Bluetooth, due to which the humidifier can act as a gateway for other smart devices with this connection interface. The only drawback is the far from perfect localization of the Mi Home application plug-ins: Chinese characters are often found in the interface. Otherwise, Xiaomi Smartmi Air Humidifier 2 is a practical humidifier with smart features that are gaining popularity and a reasonable price tag.
