Efficient and quiet operation

Smeg differs from other models by the presence of five main and five additional - quick - programs. The first ones are quite standard: “Auto 40-50°C”, Super (for intensive cleaning), “Fast” (for lightly soiled dishes), ECO, “Glass”. ECO - economical mode (consumption 9.5 l and 0.74 kWh). But the “Fast” wash still consumes a minimum of 6.5 liters and 0.7 kWh. It is only recommended to use it for washing dishes with fresh or light soiling. And if the dishes have already been sitting for a day waiting to be cleaned or the frying pan is very dirty after frying, then you should choose the uneconomical (1:45, 20 l and 1.5 kWh), but intensive Super mode. In it, washing and rinsing are performed at an elevated temperature of 70°C.

Five programs that save time

Fast programs duplicate the main ones, only they are executed in less time - either by increasing resource consumption (for example, “ECO fast”) or reducing cleaning efficiency (“Super fast”). Among these programs there is a very fast and economical “Rinse” mode, which is useful for pre-washing dishes that you put away during the day to wash at night. Some housewives rinse them under the tap before loading various items into the machine, but with the PLA4525X there is no need to do this. By the way, what’s also convenient is that when you delay switching on, the device will rinse the dishes itself, and at the end of the cycle it will not only give a signal, but also open the door for the hostess.
