Powerful portable speaker from Sony with built-in battery, spectacular lighting and bass boost function. The model is a representative of the updated line of Sony portable speakers, which come out under the slogan "live at full volume." For some, such a device will become a music center for an apartment, someone will find a faithful companion for giving, and someone will dance by the pool.
The speaker has two 5 cm tweeters and a pair of 14 cm Sony X-Balance drivers, which are slightly separated to the sides so that the sound of the speaker spreads evenly around the room. In case of lack of bass, the user can activate the Mega Bass option. Like other large speakers from Sony, this model is equipped with carrying handles, atmospheric lighting with different effects and a holder for smartphones or tablets.
Housing Sony SRS-XP500 protected from dust and moisture according to the IPX4 standard. The main connection method is the Bluetooth 5.0 wireless protocol with a range of up to 10 meters. On the back, under the folding panel, there is a scattering of connectors, including a 3.5 mm mini-jack, two USB ports for a flash drive with music, and a microphone input to which you can connect a guitar or microphone (karaoke mode is supported).
There is also a Party Connect button on the back with which you can combine several JBL wireless speakers into a common orchestra. And one of the USB ports, if necessary, can be used to charge a dead smartphone, player or other gadget. Sony says the speaker can last up to 20 hours on a single charge, and with a 10-minute quick charge, it can be charged for another 80 minutes of use.
