if you need a good powerful saw, take it, you won’t regret it!

i’ve been using this saw for a long time, I have no complaints, it cuts perfectly. As it turns out, the included disk even takes nails.
despite its size, the device is quite powerful
the wire gets dull in the cold! the manufacturer of such a tool could have used a kg cable instead of a PVC cable and there would not have been such a problem.

Bought for personal use in the furniture sector. Everything you used before this saw, leave aside. This device has proven itself 100%. It's convenient to use, safe, and there are no sudden inexplicable jolts like with Chinese brands. Precision

When I bought this saw, I was worried that the bearing housing was plastic. The seller assured me that there were no complaints about this. I decided to make the purchase. To be honest, I did not expect such power from it (I have something to compare it with). It cuts like a dream))) But as they say, time will tell how the saw will perform in the long run.
Good balance, compact, doesn't tear out of hands at startup.

Universal saw for joiners and carpenters

The main functions of the Stanley SC16 saw are sawing wood along or across the grain, as well as cutting chipboard and MDF boards, furniture panels, sheet plastic and composites. With sufficient power, the tool confidently handles with various types of wood. The maximum cutting depth reaches 65 mm, but in fact the optimal load is approximately equal to the thickness of a standard board — "fifty".

The 90° angle required for perpendicular sawing can be set quickly and accurately without the use of a square. But in other positions (the design provides the possibility of tilting the sole at an angle of up to 45 °), the adjustment accuracy is ± 0.5 ° for a new tool, and it drops to ± 1 ° for worn specimens that have worked for a couple of years. This is sufficient for rough cutting, but for jobs that require the most accurate miter sawing, it is worth choosing a circular saw with a cast sole.

Advantages and disadvantages

The saw is quite light and well balanced. If necessary, you can easily work, holding it on weight with one hand. The engine practically does not generate vibrations, and rubber pads on the handles dampen slight trembling during operation. Unpleasant emotions during operation can only be caused by a short cable (only 2.5 m) and noise above a comfortable level (103 dB).

The design of the saw provides an excellent view of the cutting line, which is necessary for precise sawing of wood. To improve the accuracy of straight cuts on long lengths, it is advisable to use the parallel stop, which is included in the kit. It is adjustable in width from 25mm to 175mm.

The saw is designed for circles with a diameter of up to 190 mm. Thanks to the adjustable flange on both sides, it is possible to install any cutting discs for wood with bores of 20 or 30 mm.

"Semi-professional" circular — how is it?

The Stanley SC16 manual circular is considered semi-professional. It is suitable for small construction teams and private craftsmen who are looking for a tool with good performance and not too high a price. But for those who need a professional tool, it is better to look at Bosch, DeWALT or Makita circular saws.
