From fries to fondue

The German company Steba supplies the market with high-quality fryers that are popular not only in Germany. The DF 90 model in the manufacturer's line is distinguished by its low-cost cost and simplicity of design, combined with good performance.

Appearance and materials

The Steba DF 90 has a small round stainless steel case with a plastic lid and a black base. The case is thermally insulated, and it is absolutely impossible to get burned on it.

Handles, as practice shows, almost do not heat up. The bowl, although not removable, is easy to clean thanks to the good coating and removable lid.

There is no viewing window. Apparently, the manufacturer relies entirely on the accuracy of the mechanical thermostat, which, by the way, has 8 adjustment modes.

Functional

Steba DF 90 is quite economical in terms of power consumption, its power is only 840 W, however, the unit is able to heat the oil up to 190 degrees, which is very good for such a baby!

Only 0.9 L of oil is placed in the apparatus, on which a pound of potatoes can be cooked in 15 minutes. You can also fry fish, poultry, vegetables or donuts. There is a special ring for fondue. The package includes 6 metal forks, which are convenient to prick small pieces of food. The built-in filter successfully fights odours.

Summarizing all of the above, the Steba DF 90 can be considered a good low-cost deep fryer, the clear advantage of which is the economy and the ability to make fondue. It’s just not worth pouring oil to the extreme mark, otherwise it will splatter over the edge.
