Increased mowing area
The Swedish gardening equipment manufacturer Stiga's robot is one of the market leaders and is likely to attract buyers with its efficiency on fairly large plots, up to 3,000 square metres. Due to this, the model is able to compete even with some electric lawn mowers powered by the mains.
Efficiency over large areas Stiga Autoclip 525 provides a pair of capacious Li-Ion batteries of 6.9 Ah. With them, the battery life reaches 6 hours, and it takes 1.5 hours less to charge (4.5 hours). The user has the ability to programme the robot so that it mows the lawn most of the day and recharges at night.
Due to the presence of two batteries, the weight of the device is 12 kg, but given that he himself returns to the station for recharging, this circumstance will not cause any particular inconvenience.
Cutting and mowing settings
The working width is 29 cm, and the cutting height is adjustable from 20 to 56 mm. The device is ready for various irregularities in the area up to 45% (24° slope).
The robot is controlled by a convenient touch screen. With it, you can set up to 3 mowing zones, create a work schedule, set up a security system with an alarm. And in the Bluetooth version of the Stiga Autoclip 525 S, it is possible to synchronize the device with a smartphone and programme via the application.
Sensor system
For safety reasons, the mower is equipped with tilt and lift sensors that automatically stop the blades when triggered. There are also sensors for recognizing obstacles and an already treated lawn. The rain sensor complements the intelligent system. It is recommended to activate it so that the device returns to the docking station during rainfall and does not mow wet grass.
The disadvantages of Stiga Autoclip 525 include high cost. In addition, the delivery set includes only 150 m of boundary wire, which is necessary to delineate the coverage area of the device. But even these moments are largely offset by the excellent battery life and impressive performance of the robot.
