Model overview based on user reviews
The Sturm AG915S is an electric wall chaser known for its affordability and robust design, featuring a lot of metal and minimal plastic. It is equipped with a 1600 W motor and supports diamond blades up to 150 mm, allowing a maximum cutting depth of 45 mm. This makes it suitable for both electrical network installations and hidden pipelines. The tool includes a soft start function to manage starting jerks. However, users have noted several drawbacks: the dust removal system is inefficient, and the power button is awkwardly placed, posing potential safety risks. Additionally, the tool is heavy, weighing almost 6 kg, which can be challenging during prolonged use. Some users reported issues with the gearbox after moderate use and found the power insufficient for cutting heavy concrete. Despite these concerns, the tool is considered suitable for DIY repairs but may not be ideal for professional use due to its limitations.

The dust flies everywhere and doesn't all get sucked into the opening. It cuts very poorly; I think the housing is made wrong. The power button is a total disaster! It's located who knows where, god forbid if something happens while you're reaching for the button, it could cause trouble. A piece of the protective housing broke off completely, it seems to be made of straw. After 6 months of use, working about 3 days each month, the gearbox broke down. Let's just say this device isn't worth getting.

worked for 2 years with a bang! concrete, brick, grooves for electrical and plumbing pipes, then the power dropped, they changed the rotor but the result was negative
quite powerful
a little heavy, especially for grooves in reinforced concrete ceilings, but this is also a plus - the filling is very good

A tool with a "Soviet" character

The Sturm AG915S double-disk wall chaser captivates with its affordable price, as well as its simple and unsophisticated design in the "Soviet" style. There is little plastic and a lot of metal in its design. Therefore, the tool is strong and does not require particularly careful handling. But this medal also has a downside. The wall chaser weighs a lot (almost 6 kg), so strong hands are needed to work with it to push the device along the cut line.

A sufficiently powerful motor (1600 W) allows the use of diamond blades with a diameter of 150 mm. Therefore, for this model, the maximum depth of penetration is 45 mm, and the wall chaser can be used not only for laying electrical networks, but also for installing hidden pipelines of heating systems. A well-functioning “soft start” function helps to cope with starting jerks when the engine is turned on.

A couple of fly in the ointment

Owners of Sturm wall chasers complain that the engine power is not enough to cut heavy grades of concrete (current protection is triggered, and you have to wait a few minutes until the electronics “allow” you to turn on the tool). There are also complaints about the quality of dust removal, because the wall chaser produces a lot of dust when using regular 150 mm discs (but when using diamond wheels with a diameter of 125 mm, the problem is not so noticeable). And there is practically no user who would be satisfied with a short network cable with a length of only 2 m.

Sturdy wall chaser for do-it-yourself repairs

This model will suit you if you are looking for a simple and strong wall chaser for not too intensive work (the manufacturer in the instructions emphasizes that Sturm wall chasers are a household-class tool). But for professional activities, you should find a more reliable and easier model.
