How to Choose a Kitchen SinkGuide to choosing a kitchen sink: size, shape, material, installation method and more.
Classic round sink, simple and discreet
26 December 2016
There was no point or desire to be smart with the sink in the new kitchen. Of course, the designer offered to install a fashionable granite-acrylic structure for $300, but I can spend my money on such purchases that are senseless from the point of view of common sense without her advice. I chose a simple but branded one.
What makes the classic round sink from a renowned and reliable brand so good? Practically everything, as it has no significant drawbacks. It looks in such a way that it doesn't draw unnecessary attention. A sink is a functional item, and its appearance isn't always in perfect condition, so there's no need to stare at it. However, when examined closely, the "satin" finish stands out. I would even say it's not quite a polish, as the term "polished" implies "mirror-like shine." It's a special fine sanding technique that gives a smooth matte surface, where water spots and other minor stains are hardly visible. It might seem trivial, but this feature allows the sink to maintain a presentable appearance for quite some time. The material of the sink is high-quality stainless steel, which in domestic standards is listed as X18N10. It is the best food-grade corrosion-resistant steel approved for such use.
Under the strong pressure of water from the spout of the mixer with an aerator, the sink sounds decent. Maybe it should be, or maybe the stamped metal is too thin, but it noticeably enhances the sound of the jet. It looks boring, it is.
