Model overview based on user reviews
The Teka TR 550 garbage disposal has received mixed reviews from users. While it is appreciated for its affordable price, there are significant concerns regarding its functionality. Users report that the device fails to grind waste effectively, instead accelerating and pushing waste into the sewage, leading to frequent clogs. One user mentioned that despite making adjustments to the plumbing, the issue persisted, suggesting that the problem is not related to water pressure. The device's performance has been described as unreliable, with some users opting to replace it with models from other brands that function more effectively. Overall, the Teka TR 550 may not meet expectations for those seeking a reliable waste disposal solution.
Pros
Cons
nothing the device does not work. |
Probably, this device will work if you have a pressure in the kitchen like from a fire hydrant, and the drain is a 100th pipe. Price The grinder doesn't grind, but accelerates and forcefully pushes waste into the sewage. Consequently, the kitchen sewage is constantly clogged. Removed the siphon, replaced the corrugated pipe with a flexible/smooth connection. It clogs not once every three days, but once a week. The warranty says: "Your water pressure is weak, not enough to dilute the waste..." I say: "I have a kitchen tap and sink, not a flush tank with a Genoa bowl in the kitchen..." In short, got tired of cleaning the sewage. Sold it for parts. Installed one from another brand - turns out, it's not about the water pressure... |

So, if you want it for aesthetics, then you can get it, but functionally it doesn’t work.
