A great mouse pad for the price, with excellent edge stitching quality. Paired with a Razer Imperator laser mouse, it brings nothing but positive impressions. The mouse glides smoothly and pleasantly. The pad has a very fine fabric texture, which helps extend the lifespan of the mouse feet. There are two types of cloth mouse pads according to the surface gliding: rough Control and smooth Speed. The former are better suited for shooter games, the latter for strategies and MOBAs. The quartet of Aegis carpets belongs to the second type (Speed): X4, X3, X2 and X1, which differ in size.
Big and small
The oldest version of the Aegis X4 has, perhaps, too large an area (44 x 37 cm), which is why it will not fit on every computer desk. The second from the end version X2 (29 x 24 cm) is only slightly larger than the younger X1 (27 x 23 cm). And apparently precisely because of the lack of demand for X4 and X2, they are not represented in east european retail.
Cheaper than competitors
The most optimal, in our opinion, is the X3 version (36 x 30 cm). If the table is wide enough, then the rug can be laid horizontally, if narrow - vertically. In addition, only the two older versions X3 and X4 have threaded edges, while the unstitched lower versions can begin to delaminate over time. However, Tesoro Aegis is much cheaper than Razer and SteelSeries carpets of similar size, so it’s not a sin to throw it away after a year or two and buy a second one of the same.
