Big confusion
Thermalright's life is not easy, because so many buyers confuse it with another, more advertised brand - Thermaltake. Both of these manufacturers produce computer cooling systems, but for Thermaltake this is a secondary business (the main one is cases, mice and keyboards), while Thermalright specializes exclusively in Cooling system and does its job, as they say, in good conscience.
There are not many tubes
Take the Thermalright Archon IB-E X2, one of the most efficient single-tower CPU coolers out there. High heat capacity was achieved thanks to a wide copper contact plate and as many as eight heat pipes coated with nickel to protect against corrosion. In turn, the aluminium fins of the cooler are blown through by two 14-cm fans at once (to simplify their connection to the motherboard, a splitter from one 4-pin connector to two is supplied in the kit). It is the fans, or rather their strange "swampy" colour, that is the only drawback of the cooler - you will not be able to achieve the integrity of the design with the processor and graphics card, if it is important for you.
Extreme sport
Naturally, in terms of heat dissipation efficiency, Archon IB-E X2 is slightly inferior to massive double-tower coolers, but it does not overlap DIMM slots, allowing you to install RAM modules with high radiators. For a mid-level and even top-end gaming PC, the Thermalright Archon IB-E X2 is clearly overkill. It makes sense to take it only for extreme overclocking of Intel LGA2011-v3 and AMD AM3+ processors.
