flexible tip

The Vega MT519-BC contact thermometer is the older brother of the Vega MT418-BC model and is positioned by the manufacturer as a universal body temperature measuring device for children and adults. Unlike the previous model, there is a flexible tip for more convenient measurement orally and rectally (for babies). You can also not worry that the child will accidentally break it.

Sound signal at the end of the measurement

Orally and rectally, the thermometer measures the temperature for 60 seconds, after which an audible signal will sound, announcing the end of the measurements. If we measure the temperature under the armpit (axillary), then you need to withstand 5 minutes, ignoring the beep that will sound after 1 minute. The axillary measurement time is quite long compared to other contact thermometers in this price range. Some users complain that the device does not always accurately show the temperature (sometimes the error reaches 0.5 degrees)

Waterproof

The thermometer is completely waterproof, so it can be washed with soapy water and wiped with alcohol after use (recommended by the instructions). They can also measure the temperature of warm liquids, for example, baby food for a baby (although this is an indirect purpose) in the range from 32 to 43 degrees. A small plastic container will keep the device safe when not in use. The instrument's memory remembers the last measurement. Please note that when the battery is removed (replaced), the saved readings are lost.
