If you got the impression that this is a bad pruner, no, it's not. It's a good, convenient pruner that's a pleasure to work with. It's designed for garden work with small branches and shrubs. I used it for pruning currants, small grape branches, young trees, and also for cutting roses.
Over time, the mechanism locking the blades broke, so it's permanently open. But this didn't affect the functionality; it still cuts wonderfully.
The blade metal is treated so-so; again, Gardena which was purchased almost at the same time and worked as long in the garden as this one, doesn't have even a hint of rust on the blades.
Overall, a decent, versatile pruner without serious drawbacks, but I wouldn't say it stands out in any way.
