Updated review below from October 28, 2025 I managed to achieve a 40A charging output on someone else's battery, on Titanate. I haven't figured out yet how to replicate this on my LFP; perhaps a deeper, stronger discharge is needed... |
As a starter, it's basically okay. It came in handy once for a diesel in winter. And for a couple of other cars when the battery was dead or initially weak. As a charger, it basically works too, but not at 100%.. I could not figure out how to make it deliver all 40A for charging. Judging by the clamps, it outputs 19-22 for sure, but not higher. Even the screen at that moment showed only 20.1… I tested it with both Gel 250Ah, LFP 300Ah, and just a lead-acid battery - to no avail. I even tried giving it completely discharged batteries. 22A seems to be the limit… Maybe there's an error in the specs, no idea. But the weird thing is, I saw a video on YouTube from the manufacturer where it really pumped 40A… Excellent jump starter for the price/quality ratio. Not a bad charger. Still couldn't achieve charging at 40A, even with high-capacity batteries. The cooler always makes noise, regardless of the load... |
