These are very simple, powerful fan-type heaters. They have been produced for years under various brands, possibly with slightly different casings or controls, but they mostly feature the same system that hasn't changed in years. Why, you ask? Because it works and it's cheap.

Essentially, you have a floor-standing hairdryer in front of you. Air is sucked in from the back, heated through a spiral heating element, much like in a hairdryer, accelerated by a fan, and expelled from the front in a stream of hot air.

There are two knobs for controls. The first one sets the temperature. The other one controls power and fan speed selection. As you can see, it's all very simple.

The casing is completely plastic, and the plastic is quite good, actually. I can even say it has some quality, as I've seen much worse. At full speed, the fan heater is quite loud and power-hungry, consuming up to 2kw, so it's better not to fall asleep with it on. Firstly, it will increase your bills, and secondly, never leave any heater unattended, as it's genuinely dangerous!

One more thing, never cover the fan heater with anything, as it both heats the air and cools down with it. Without a supply of cool air, it will overheat.
Price, surprisingly heats quite well for a small device. Can blow cold air.
