Winzel Expert (RA1-50P)

The recuperator of the German brand Winzel involves wall mounting. Under the air duct, it is necessary to prepare a hole in the outer wall with a diameter of 160 mm.

Winzel Expert RA1-50P can be controlled both from the panel on the front of the case and from the remote control. Also on the market is a related Expert Wi-Fi model, which is equipped with a Wi-Fi module and supports wireless control.

Quiet and economical operation

The heat exchanger, thanks to a modern EC fan, consumes a minimum of energy (up to 5 W), and also does not create acoustic discomfort. So, at the maximum speed (out of three available), the noise level does not exceed 30 dB (at a distance of 1 metre), and at the minimum — 20 dB. Therefore, in most cases the instrument will not be heard.

Efficient heat retention

Winzel Expert RA1-50P received a ceramic heat exchanger that retains the heat of the exhaust air and returns it to the incoming air. The maximum efficiency of the heat exchanger reaches 97%. As a result, even in severe frost (and the operation of the unit is permissible at temperatures from -30 to +50 °C), warm air will enter the apartment, which is only 1 – 2 degrees cooler than room temperature.

Operating modes and humidity control

The air handling unit can be used in two modes: for ventilation (supply or exhaust) and for regeneration (with alternating change in the direction of air movement and heat preservation). The heat exchanger is able to automatically change the speed mode based on the current humidity level, which is measured by the corresponding built-in sensor.

For large rooms, it is recommended to use two or more units, or additional natural ventilation is required, since the performance in the recovery mode does not exceed 25 m³/h (and with ventilation 50 m³/h). Anyway, it is no coincidence that Winzel Expert RA1-50P is one of the most popular household recuperators, offering users high efficiency at an adequate price tag.
