The Xiaomi iHealth Thermometer "smart" non-contact thermometer of the popular Chinese manufacturer of smartphones and household appliances stands out for its elegant modern design, reliable readings and measurement comfort. The device is intended exclusively for measuring body temperature in the central zone of the forehead from a distance of 0 to 3 cm. Note that measurements in another area of the forehead or temporal zone give distorted data on the actual temperature. The model is made in the format of a remote control with an enlarged volumetric head, in which there is a distance sensor that controls the conditions for taking readings, and a high-quality infrared thermal sensor from the German company Heimann, which collects data at a speed of 100 measurements per second. With a temperature spread from 35 °C to 42 °C, the measurement error is 0.2 °C, and beyond this limit it increases to 0.3 °C. Unfortunately, the developer did not consider it necessary to provide the device with a memory block for the measurements taken.

Hidden under bezel display

On the flat front surface there is a single control button, which by default is set to start the measurement. It is slightly recessed in relation to the front panel, which helps to eliminate accidental pressing. The end of the measurement is accompanied by the same vibration response as in a smartphone. This is much more convenient than a beep because you don't have to worry about waking up a sleeping baby. Unlike the traditional display of other brands, in this thermometer, the reading numbers glow brightly just against the background of the front panel, as is implemented in many Xiaomi scales. Install 2 AAA batteries, which are included in the package, into the battery compartment. According to the manufacturer, a set of alkaline batteries is enough for 3K measurements, which is enough for several years of real operation. The service life of the thermometer is designed for 5 years, but its actual resource is not limited to a specific time. If you need a practical home thermometer to measure body temperature, then this is a good and accurate model for its price.
