Successor to a popular model

Scooter 1S is the direct successor of the popular Xiaomi Mijia Electric Scooter M365 electric scooter. Here, instead of an indication display, a full-fledged on-board computer is offered, showing the current speed and other information, including the battery level. There are also three driving modes instead of two: energy-saving (pedestrian), standard and sports (it reaches a maximum speed of 25 km/h).

The electric scooter has got rubber wheels with a diameter of 8.5". They are not cast, but inflatable. The pressure level in them will need to be monitored and pumped, but now the model, even without shock absorbers, will please with quite comfortable movement over small bumps and paving slabs.

Time-tested design

Xiaomi Scooter 1S is made in a similar design with its progenitor, weighs the same 12.5 kg, received an aluminium alloy frame. There is also a 250-watt electric motor and protection against dust and moisture familiar today (class IP54).

The convenient folding system has not disappeared anywhere either. When folded, the model is very compact and fits into the luggage compartment of an average sedan. And the assembly / disassembly process takes a few seconds.

Good battery life and safety

The battery capacity of 7.8 Ah is enough for a 30-kilometer race. In standard mode (at speeds up to 20 km/h), a rider weighing about 80 kg is able to come close to these passport data. The maximum allowable user weight is 100kg and the lift angle is 14°. The battery takes less than 5 hours to charge.

The rear disc brake is complemented by a manual — regenerative, designed to extend battery life. And with effective braking, this bundle handles well. Of the other security systems, it is worth highlighting lighting with an LED headlight and brake light, as well as additional reflectors, in case the battery runs out to zero.

"Smart" scooter

Thanks to Bluetooth support, Xiaomi Scooter 1S can be integrated into the Mi Home eco-system. The application of the same name provides extended trip statistics, there is a function of cruise control, blocking the scooter, settings for the degree of energy recovery. If this is not enough, then it is easy to find various custom firmware.

Another argument in favor of the model is compatibility with most of the accessories of the popular predecessor, of which there are really many, including designer grips, smartphone mounts or even saddles.
