New version of smart kettle from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Kettle Pro Electric Kettle MiJia series is an upgraded version of the previous generation Xiaomi MiJia Smart Kettle, which was released in 2016. Externally, the devices are almost indistinguishable: the same high-tech design, double-walled cylindrical body and external trim elements. The new appliance uses a similar 1.5L 304 stainless steel flask and a 1800W hidden ring heating element that brings the kettle to the boiling point in 5 minutes. The hinged lid, which opens with a button, received a two-stage smooth shock-absorbing stroke. The model is equipped with a British TM Strix thermostat with an extended service life (10 years) and high accuracy of temperature maintenance based on data from a temperature sensor installed in the bottom of the flask.
Smartphone control via the Mi Home app
The main difference between the smart kettle and its predecessor model is the presence of a digital display built into the handle. With it, you can monitor the current water temperature (thermometer), as well as set the heating and keeping warm mode. The kettle can be intelligently controlled remotely from a smartphone via Bluetooth through the proprietary Mi Home application, which provides easy integration of the device into a smart home system. By default, the user has access to 5 built-in temperature modes, each of which can be changed in the application at your discretion in the range from 40 °C to 100 °C. Here you can also set the keep warm mode with maintaining the temperature of the heated water (40 – 90 °C) for up to 12 hours. The device is equipped with a 3-level security system that automatically turns off the power when boiling, low water level in the flask and short circuit wiring.
