It certainly looks beautiful and feels pleasant, but it does get dirty easily. The all-metal inner flask is both reliable and looks good. The lid is also metal - it's more reliable and doesn't make the water smell like plastic since it doesn't come into contact with it. The lid opens and closes tightly, and it snaps quite loudly when closing. For a 1.5-liter volume, it's a bit large. When you fill it to the maximum level mark, there's still a lot of space left at the top of the flask. The kettle boils fairly quickly and isn't too noisy. Many people say it takes a long time to switch off when boiling, but we've had it for about a month and have never encountered such an issue. The two-layer construction of metal and plastic indeed gives a thermos effect. Because of this, the water doesn't cool down as quickly, and it's impossible to get burned from touching the body. However, it does create some inconveniences. I'm used to checking the water temperature in the kettle just by touching the body. If the water is still hot, why turn it on again only to wait for the tea or coffee to cool down so you're not drinking boiling water? With this kettle, it's hard to tell how hot the water inside is. After another $10 kettle broke down, I decided to get something more expensive, and of course, I first looked at what Xiaomi has to offer. As for the price, I have no complaints at all, I believe this kettle is quite worth it. My first impression is that the body is very well assembled, nice to the touch, and well-painted. Inside, the flask is said to be made of medical-grade stainless steel, but still, over time, scale appears, but that’s more about water quality, of course. There were reviews about the Chinese plug - you need to make sure you get the international version upon purchase, which will have the right plug (European standard). It boils quickly, noise is on par with all electric kettles, nothing special, and there's a water heat retention system that's practically useless for me - I make tea and forget it; at the first use, there was a slight metal taste, but after 2-3 times there was no smell. The cons for me are that there is no water level indicator, and to see how much water is in, you need to open the lid, which doesn’t open fully, so you need to peek in from the side. Over time, I just got used to it and now control the water level by its sound inside when filling, you can hear it (like the sound of filling a bottle with water). In general, for those who do not want to overpay, you can get this model, but it has its drawbacks, otherwise, I would recommend another Xiaomi model but a bit more expensive.
