Child's hand toys

The main idea behind the creation of the XYZprinting da Vinci miniMaker 3D printer is to educate school-age children. The presented model was developed for placement in educational institutions, in order to introduce the child to modern technologies in a playful way and for those who are taking their first steps in 3D printing. Designed for a children's audience, the 3D printer received a colorful and compact body. Dimensions of the device 40x34x36 cm allow you to install it on a desk or in a niche in the children's corner.

You can use the "printing machine" right out of the box, as the built-in auto-calibration system eliminates additional manual settings and greatly simplifies the work.

Modeling is carried out using FDM/FFF deposition printing. This is the most common method, but you can only print on the presented device with PLA plastic. However, for children's use, more is not necessary. The use of PLA plastic made it possible to eliminate the installation of a heated thaler, which is an absolute advantage for babies. Despite a number of advantages, it is worth noting that PLA filament is much more expensive than others and working with the presented 3D printer requires a more scrupulous selection of consumables.

The printer print area is 150x150x150 mm. This is quite enough to place small models, toys and children's puzzles on it, for example, print three spinners at the same time. The device received one extruder, and the preparation of models for printing is carried out using XYZware proprietary software.

Complete with a 3D printer, you get access to the Educational Ecosystem applications, where there is a large library with ready-made 3D models of various directions.

Minor drawbacks include the lack of a display, but this is not critical if you are going to use the printer for entertainment and educational purposes.

The da Vinci miniMaker 3D printer is suitable for students and schoolchildren, but if you are going to do serious design, you should pay attention to more functional models, for example, the Flashforge Creator PRO 3D printer.

Helpful advice! Before you determine a place for a 3D printer in your home, make sure that there is no draft and dampness. Despite the protective housing, adverse climatic conditions can adversely affect print quality. At high humidity, the plastic tends to become damp, and exposure to a draft will create a temperature drop, which can lead to delamination of the model.
