I recommend it for those who want to save on space, but not on sound
4 May 2020
I want to share my experience of purchasing our little but mighty friend)) It's been a long time since I last used a real instrument, back in school, but I believe I have an ear for music. So, I can share my opinion on the sound realism of this model. I'll say this, a real piano will never be replaced by even the most advanced electronic one, especially something as compact as this. However, if you're choosing from what's available on the market, Yamaha is the best option. The sound is quite acceptable for beginners and enthusiasts. Unfortunately, professionals will still need an acoustic option. But for my purposes – for my daughter in music school and for me to play for my own pleasure occasionally – you couldn't ask for better! My daughter's room is small, and such a compact design suited us perfectly. As for the cons, I can point out the 2 sensors in the keyboard, so fans of 'Flight of the Bumblebee' and fast playing should consider Yamaha 164 and up. And I wish the price was lower, the exchange rate with the dollar has caused it to jump recently...
