Zalman CNPS14X Duo
Photos 7 | Expecting restock A large dual-tower cooling system from Zalman, equipped with a massive radiator and two fans on the sides. It is positioned by the manufacturer as an advanced solution for gamers and enthusiasts who want to ensure effective cooling of their systems. This cooler is capable of handling processors with a heat dissipation of up to 270 W, making it perfect for high-performance configurations, including top-end modifications of Intel Core i7, Intel Core i9, AMD Ryzen 7 and AMD Ryzen 9 chips. One of the key features of the Zalman CNPS14X Duo is its dual-tower design, which provides optimal airflow. Two 120 mm fans with a fluid-dynamic bearing, operating in the speed range from 600 to 2000 rpm, allow you to achieve a maximum airflow of 69.12 CFM, which brings the efficiency of this model closer to...the indicators of more expensive liquid cooling systems. An important aspect is the automatic fan speed control using PWM technology, which reduces the noise level to 30 dB under maximum loads, providing a high level of user comfort. Zalman CNPS14X Duo supports a wide range of sockets, including AMD AM4 and AM5, as well as Intel 1150, 1155, 1156, 1151/1151 v2, 1200 and 1700. Double-sided fastening (backplate) ensures reliable installation and compatibility with various platforms. The combination of these factors makes the cooler a suitable option for assemblies focused on maximum performance in games or when performing highly specialized professional tasks (video editing, 3D modeling, working with large amounts of data, etc.). |

Shark fin design
Zalman CNPS14X Duo Black is a powerful cooler from South Korea, equipped with two towers and weighing almost 1.2 kilograms. The manufacturer claims that it can dissipate up to 270 W of heat, and its fans have a resource of up to 40 thousand hours of operation (connected using a Y-shaped splitter). Rubber frame corners effectively dampen vibration, and the blades with aerodynamic teeth are called "Shark Fins".
Corrosion protection
Six nickel-plated pipes that prevent corrosion contact the processor thanks to the patented Reverse Direct Touch Heatpipe technology. At the bottom of both towers, the fins are narrowed, which helps to avoid conflict with the RAM and the VRM heatsink of the motherboard. However, it is worth considering that the front fan still limits the height of the RAM modules a little - the clearance is 44 millimeters.
Semi-passive mode of operation
For a moderately hot processor, it is enough to install one fan between the towers. It will draw air through the first tower and push it out through the second. It is also possible to set up a semi-passive mode, in which the fans start working only after reaching a certain processor temperature.
