Screwdriver Zubr ZSSh-300-2 captivates with an advantageous ratio of technical characteristics and price. Therefore, it is chosen by those who do not want to overpay for "promoted" brands. Thanks to a good torque (35 Nm — this is above average), the tool successfully handles with its functions — drilling and tightening self-tapping screws up to 6 mm in diameter. Two working speeds plus 23 fixed torque limiter clutch positions let you customize your drill/driver for a variety of jobs.
A little gigantomania
All buttons (trigger, reverse, speed lock and speed switch) are located quite conveniently. There are plugs in the back of the case for quick access to the brushes without disassembling the tool. The screwdriver is well balanced and fits comfortably in the male hand. But it is worth noting that it weighs a lot — 1.6 kg (200 – 400 g heavier than most competitors). The difference in weight between the Zubr and lighter models will be well felt after an hour or two of continuous operation.
This model differs from other corded drills with a large cable length (as much as 5 m, although many competitors are limited to two-metre cords). The wire is “packed” in a thick rubber sheath that does not tan in the cold outside.
Screwdriver for home, garage and garden
The Zubr ZSSh-300-2 screwdriver has a surprisingly generous warranty — as much as 5 years (subject to registration on the manufacturer's website immediately after purchase). Even Makita drill drivers come with less warranty. But the quality of the warranty service for the Zubr tool is a debatable issue.
Therefore, this model (as well as its “twin brother” Zubr ZSSh-300-2 K, which comes in a beautiful and convenient plastic case) is unlikely to interest those craftsmen for whom a drill/driver is one of the main working tools. But household users who buy Zubr screwdrivers for their home, garage or cottage leave mostly positive reviews for them.
