Affordable Solution for Robotic Lawn Care

The 4garden AR900 robot is equipped with a brushless motor that performs two tasks: it rotates the cutting mechanism blade (with a cutting width of 18 cm) at a speed of 3100 rotations per minute, ensuring a quick and clean grass cut, and it also drives the lawn mower itself, which weighs 10.2 kg. The device's rear wheels are quite large and equipped with treads, which help handle uneven terrain and slopes of up to 30%. The front swivel wheels provide maneuverability: thanks to them, the machine skillfully turns around when encountering obstacles or reaching the boundary wire that the user sets to designate the work area. The power source is a removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4 Ah, the same as other battery-powered devices of the 4garden brand.

Advantages and Disadvantages

You can control the robot in two ways: through the built-in menu on the body or remotely via a smartphone using the proprietary app (available for Android and iOS). This way, you can set both basic parameters, such as the work schedule, and the precise grass cutting height. The height can be adjusted from 20 to 60 mm in 1 mm increments, allowing for maximum precision. The only inconvenience is the setup of four mowing zones. To properly set the parameters, you need to measure the distances along the boundary wire using a tape measure and specify to the robot where it should turn into the desired zone. However, after the initial setup, the device will be fully autonomous: it will exit the garage on schedule, evenly process each section, bypass obstacles thanks to laser sensors, and return to the base at the first signs of rain, which are detected by the sensor.

Inexpensive but Quite a Good Lawn Mowing Robot

Despite its affordable price, the 4garden AR900 is almost on par with more expensive models in terms of capabilities. It effectively handles its primary task—cutting grass, offers a high degree of autonomy, and can be easily configured both through the menu and the mobile app. An additional advantage is its compatibility with universal batteries, which can be easily found on the market.
