the 25-inch representative of the K series belongs to Acer's mid-range gaming monitors. The model is based on a fast TN-matrix (1ms response), but has limited visibility (170/160° angles). The gaming focus is emphasized by the frame rate increased to 240 Hz, which, together with AMD FreeSync support, will provide a smooth video sequence without jerks and other artifacts in dynamic scenes. The Acer KG251QDbmiipx FullHD monitor is characterized by high peak brightness up to 400 cd/m2 and modest coverage of the NTSC colour space (72%). The screen, framed by a thin frame, is attached to a standard stand, which is adjustable only for the angle of inclination. The model is equipped with a pair of built-in speakers of 2 W, received 2 HDMI ports (one of them version 2.0), audio output and DisplayP...ort v.1.2 with a cable included.

Nothing extra

When creating the KG251Q gaming monitor, Acer engineers did not go the most obvious way. Instead of using 4K resolution, a curved panel, and all the fancy stuff, they've made a relatively simple and inexpensive monitor that does its job well, providing the smoothest and most enjoyable gaming experience possible.

Refresh rate 240Hz

It's all powered by a pure gaming TN+film sensor with a response time of just 1ms and an impressive 240Hz refresh rate. This figure indicates how many frames per second can be displayed on the display screen. It is it that determines exactly how much FPS you will actually see, despite the capabilities of your graphics card. And as numerous tests show, high refresh rates in games are much more important than trendy 4K resolution, which most people do not notice point-blank. The reverse side of the medal of such a matrix lies in small viewing angles and a less juicy picture than modern IPS screens.

No one can hide in the dark

Otherwise, the Acer KG251Q looks like the most modern gaming monitor: a 25-inch screen displays a picture in Full HD resolution with a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m2 and colour reproduction of 72% NTSC. There is support for AMD FreeSync and Black Boost technologies, which can illuminate the darkest parts of the screen, better highlighting snipers hiding in the bushes or monsters lurking around the corner.

Slim bezels let you combine multiple monitors into one

From the connection interfaces available HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2. There are stereo speakers with a power of 2 watts each. A VESA mount is also included if you want to mount the monitor on a wall or swing arm. As for appearance, everything here is again simple and modern: thin side frames, red edging along the screen and a tripod stand are also in red colours. The monitor is made in accordance with the Zero Frame concept, which, thanks to thin side frames, allows you to combine several side-by-side displays into one large screen.
