Thoughtful Ergonomics

The model's body is made of strong impact-resistant plastic in a black and gray color scheme. It features a convenient folding handle for carrying at the top. The lid opens approximately 90°, and its top surface has two recesses that can be used as improvised cup holders.

Thermoelectric Plates

The Adler AD 8091 is capable of maintaining the temperature inside the chamber 16–20 °C below the ambient temperature. There is a separate switch to choose between cooling and heating, which changes the polarity of the current passing through the thermoelectric plates. The device operates based on the Peltier effect: in one direction of the current, the internal plate cools, and in the reverse, it heats. This allows the refrigerator to both cool its contents and work in heating mode.

Effective Thermal Insulation

The model's thermal insulation layer is made of dense polystyrene foam with a thickness of 25–32 mm. Even without being connected to a 12/230 V power source, the refrigerated chamber can maintain the set temperature for some time. The Adler AD 8091 also has two operating modes: MAX for rapid cooling or heating and ECO for more economical energy consumption.
