It was chosen for simple everyday tasks (at most - playing a platformer or opening a simple drawing in AutoCAD), with the expectation that it will easily handle these tasks even after 5+ years. Design and battery life were also important factors in the selection.
Sleek minimalist design, metal body elements, eye-friendly screen with a frequency of 144Hz. Full-size keyboard with a nice key travel and good backlighting, and a huge touchpad. The battery life and charging via Type-C are also pleasing. There were practically no issues with the OS installation and setup. Additionally, part of the box can be cleverly folded to transform into a laptop stand.
I haven't noticed any unexpected drawbacks or problems so far. The only thing that caught my attention was the absence of a wireless network driver when installing Windows. This issue is resolved by installing the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website, which is something you need to do for all the hardware after purchase anyway.
