Line Asus M515DA

A family of low-cost medium-format laptops with 15.6-inch TN-matrix (1366x768) displays and a TPM 2.0 hardware cryptographic module that allows strong BitLocker encryption of user data and secure authentication in corporate cable and wireless networks. They are positioned as balanced and universal solutions of the basic price category, designed for daily household and office use.

Can handle moderately complex professional tasks. They will become a reliable working tool, help in studies, and are able to play the role of a personal multimedia entertainment centre. Laptops Asus M515DA have relatively compact dimensions, weight 1.8 kg and are easily transported in a bag or backpack. A decent level of computing performance is provided by dual-core AMD Athlon or Ryzen 3 processors with Zen + microarchitecture (Picasso, 12 nm), working in conjunction with DDR4 RAM, expandable up to 12 GB (4 GB built-in + 1 expansion slot). The processor-integrated AMD Radeon Vega 3 graphics engine supports FullHD/UltraHD video content hardware decoding and provides a base level of 3D gaming performance. There is a built-in VGA-resolution webcam, high-speed Wi-Fi 5 adapter (802.11n/ac) and four USB ports for connecting peripherals and drives.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Asus M515DA is a laptop that offers good speed and design, making it suitable for work tasks. It features an m2 disk and a full-size keyboard, which are appreciated by users. However, the screen quality is a common disappointment, with some users noting it's not full HD. The storage capacity of 256 GB may be insufficient for some, and the laptop's graphics performance is limited, requiring reduced settings for gaming. The laptop allows for future upgrades with a slot for RAM and disk replacement. Overall, while it may not be the best option for its price, it remains a decent choice for office and basic tasks.

The ASUS M515DA-BQ058 laptop was disassembled, and 8 GB was soldered onto the board, with one slot for an 8 GB memory module. In fact, 5.95 GB is available. A Crucial CT8G4SFS824A DDR4 - 8GB memory module was purchased and installed, it fits and the laptop started working immediately. Previously, I bought a similar module by characteristics, the KINGMAX KM-SD4-2400-8GS DDR4 - 8GB, which does not fit.
compact, runs fast

I recommend buying it if you need a laptop for work tasks.

There are no complaints about the speed, but the screen (TN matrix) is disappointing. Good design without ostentation. The small storage, 256 GB, is not enough for all tasks.

I bought the laptop almost six months ago. I haven't noticed any particular problems, except for those mentioned above. I'm satisfied with the laptop, and I recommend it to everyone. Overall, you can find a better option for this price, but it's difficult, especially during the mining boom.

It's perfect for work tasks, but for games, you'll have to lower the graphics to almost the minimum since the processor handles the graphics. And, I want to note that you'll face the fact that you'll have 6 GB of RAM, not 8 GB, as 2 GB of RAM is consumed by the processor for graphics.
Speed, good design, good autonomy.
Poor matrix, Small storage capacity

more expensive than 22-23 makes no sense in buying, there are better options

Bought for 23. 2 cores 4 threads - barely enough for modern capabilities. everything seems to work. well, a typical office computer
m2 disk. The cheapest one was without soldered memory (at the time of purchase). This will allow for replacing the disk in the future, which is a nice opportunity. There is also a slot for RAM, which is also luxurious. Having a full-size keyboard helps save the power button from accidental pressing.
the screen was disappointing. It's okay for my tasks, but it's not full HD, which is shameful in our 2021.
