The flagship power supply unit that combines cutting-edge Asus developments, high efficiency and unique design. The model is part of the 2022 ROG Strix line and is positioned by the manufacturer as an advanced solution for enthusiasts and wealthy gamers willing to pay extra for top-level components with unique capabilities. A distinctive feature of the model is the built-in Asus Aura backlight and a mirrored side panel with a built-in OLED display, which provides the user with important information about the device's status.
In the second iteration of ROG Thor, the cooling system was improved and the circuitry was refined, making the PSU one of the quietest and most efficient 80+ Platinum power supplies. The use of high-quality Japanese low-impedance capacitors provides outstanding energy efficiency (89% efficiency at full load or 92% at loads up to 50%). The enlarged ROG heatsinks help maintain low temperatures inside the unit, thereby extending the life of components and reducing the need for active cooling.
Thanks to the modular cable connection system, users can easily connect only the necessary components, maintaining order inside the case. In addition to high technical characteristics, Asus ROG Thor Platinum II offers advanced safety features, including overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OPP), short circuit protection (SCP) and other measures that guarantee reliable operation. To emphasize the high reliability and flagship status of the model, Asus provides a 10-year warranty.
