A tool for simple tasks

The Bort BPS-18LI-Q electric jigsaw can cut wood (up to 80 mm thick), steel (up to 8 mm), non-ferrous metals and plastic. He, of course, will not be able to compete with circular saws in terms of power and productivity, but he is quite capable of performing simple tasks: cutting lining or parquet, cutting a sheet of plywood into pieces, or cutting a piece of plastic or metal pipe. And what else can you ask for from a simple household-class tool?

Functions and Options

The jigsaw has a pendulum pumping function with adjustable stroke amplitude to confidently “gnaw” all types of wood, adjusting to the characteristics of different materials. Dust and chips that form during sawing can be removed in two ways: by blowing it to the side or by sucking it into the nozzle designed to connect the vacuum cleaner. The built-in LED light helps you keep track of where you are pointing the file and stay on track.

Good cordless jigsaw

The Bort BPS-18LI-Q jigsaw is a good machine for those who sometimes saw plywood, thin boards and other small things. For professional work, it is hardly suitable, but for a home workshop or to the country — just right. The device comes with a case (sewn from soft material), in which, in addition to the tool itself, there are two batteries at once (most cordless jigsaws are sold without batteries and charging at all). Batteries, to tell the truth, have a very small capacity — only 1.5 Ah. Therefore, on one charge, a jigsaw can make a cut less than 3-5 metres long (in wood or plywood 20-25 mm thick). But the same batteries are suitable for another tool that you may need at home, for example, the Bort BRS-18Li-FD reciprocating saw.
