Model overview based on user reviews
The CATerpillar B30 is a rugged push-button phone designed for durability and reliability in challenging environments. Its standout feature is the robust protection, boasting IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, making it ideal for outdoor use. The phone also offers a long-lasting battery life, capable of lasting 4.5-6 days with moderate use, although some users report shorter battery life during heavy usage. The device includes a bright, readable display and dual SIM functionality, enhancing its practicality. However, the phone's bulky design may be uncomfortable for some users, and the camera is limited in quality, suitable only for basic photography. Additionally, the interface presents challenges with difficult-to-read fonts and language issues. Despite these drawbacks, the CATerpillar B30 remains a solid choice for those needing a durable and reliable mobile phone.
Pros

Cons

Reliably protected "all-terrain mobile"
19 May 2017
A worthy representative of the so-called rugged phones. And I know a thing or two about these gadgets, trust someone who once owned the legendary M35, ME45 "Messer," and M65.
I'll start with the main thing, and the main ones, in my opinion, can be safely called protection and a battery. On the first point, everything is great. The device is protected by the IP67 standard, which means full protection against dust and good protection against water. It is stated that the phone tolerates short-term immersion in water at a shallow depth (up to a meter). In practice, this means that with it you can safely fall into the pouring rain (fell), fearlessly drop it into a puddle, a pond or a container in water (slid out of your breast pocket straight into a full bucket) and not bother at all about this. The case made of elastic springy plastic, plugs for connectors and a screw-down back cover with an intermediate protective panel (!) are responsible for protection. There is a fairly bright flashlight. The screen is small two-inch, bright and well readable even in the sun. The battery is tenacious, with 15-25 minutes of calls per day it lasts 4.5-6 days (less in nature, since the signal of base stations is weaker, more in the city). Two-terminality is standard, both are active in standby mode, only one is available in active mode.
The body is thick, almost two centimeters, it is not very comfortable to wear it in light clothes. The camera, as usual in such devices, is weak. The resolution is low, the sensitivity is poor, the white balance is floating. In general, you can take a picture of an advertisement or a sign, but you can forget about artistic or portrait shooting.
a model with serious flaws

Disgusting interface, weak battery, and it clearly doesn't have the stated amperage, lasts a maximum of 3 days. Prolonged talking causes ear pain.
Well, maybe the case is sturdy and a bit thick, but it can withstand falls and can be washed under the faucet.
Battery interface, address book, and speakerphone sound

A waste of money. Don't buy it!

Dreary [censored], sorry, I can't call this product otherwise.
Only the sound of the bulldozer when turned on.
Inconvenient to use: bulky, the battery doesn't last even half a day of active talking, the language and fonts are terrible, hieroglyphs instead of text messages. Struggled with it for a week - put it in the drawer, not even good enough as a backup...

Push-button telephone from the world-famous company CATerpillar is devoid of any bells and whistles — the model simply fulfills its obligations in providing its owner with high-quality communication.

Durable keys

The phone is made in black, which is diluted with a bright yellow central key. All other buttons are painted in the colour of the case and, moreover, are wear-resistant. The symbols on the keys are printed exclusively in English.

Robust body

The body of the device can withstand drops from a height of 1.8 metres and has protection against dust and moisture according to the IP67 standard. In simple words, you can keep the phone out of your pocket in heavy rain or when submerged under water to a depth of 1 m. The back cover is attached to the body with one screw. Under it is a removable battery with a capacity of 1000 mAh (enough for 1-3 days of work, depending on the intensity of using the Internet and the Bluetooth module), as well as slots for two SIM cards and a microSD flash drive (up to 16 GB).

Display

The phone's screen is not one of its strengths — with a 2-inch diagonal, it has a small resolution (144x176 pixels) and small fonts in the menu. But thanks to a reliable protective glass, it is unlikely that it will be possible to accidentally damage the display.

Unpretentious

In addition to calling and sending text messages, the phone can offer to listen to FM radio, play audio and video files, and also highlight the road in the dark. It will appeal to extreme sports enthusiasts, adherents of various activities and simply to all those who need a reliable and unpretentious workhorse in operation.
