Cooler Master SFX Gold is a golden series of power supplies in the compact form factor SFX (not to be confused with the mid-size SFX-L), the power of which varies from 550 to 850 watts. It has a fully modular design with flat flexible cables, which greatly simplifies cable management when building Mini-ITX computers.
Pride of the Samurai
Like most other PSUs, Cooler Master is based on Enhance Electronics circuitry, naturally with a denser layout of elements than full-sized solutions. Therefore, the use of exclusively high-temperature capacitors from the Japanese company Rubycon is not a premium luxury here, but a critical necessity.
Complete silence
The Cooler Master SFX Gold is cooled by a hydrodynamic Ong Hua fan with a diameter of 9 centimeters. Moreover, up to 15 percent of the maximum power of the PSU, the propeller does not rotate at all. Hybrid or, more simply, semi-passive cooling mode not only reduces the noise in an idle PC to zero, but also extends the life of the fan.
Buying for growth
A useful bonus is an adapter frame for installing the SFX power supply in an ATX case. This may be needed if, over time, you decide to upgrade from a compact PC to a full-sized one. Why change a solid PSU in this case? Moreover, the manufacturer gives it a little, a lot of 10 years of warranty.
