I bought this PSU (HX850i) about two months ago and ended up returning it (turned out to be defective). Under loads around 450W, it whistled (this high-pitched whistle stood out among the hum of the graphics card and case fans, CPU cooler), and without loads (in idle) - it quietly squeaked, crackled (electronics inside). When turning off the computer, it "clicked," but that's the relay, so it's supposed to be like that. The fan didn't turn on by itself, even under loads up to 450W (could be monitored through Corsair Link's proprietary software). Temperatures were within 42 degrees under load with passive cooling. If desired, you can set the fan curve yourself or set a fixed speed. At maximum speed, the noise stands out against other components. Now I've made the same mistake again. I bought exactly the same PSU, and it works the same as the previous one. Very disappointed in Corsair. I'll probably have to return it again and get Sea Sonic or be quiet! Rich equipment, efficient operation, convenient monitoring software, stable voltage on all lines Crack, squeak, clicks |
i’ve been using it for 6 years, it’s simply indestructible, powerful, no noise, just TOP!!! words are not enough price |
Case quality after six months of use, at 30% load, it burned out and took away the motherboard and processor. They took it under warranty and returned the money. The second one does not behave adequately and does not start the first time. |
Supported by Corsair Link
Corsair's HX1000i power supply is a very successful new model that pleases with very good performance and features. You'll get 80+ Platinum certification, a fully modular cable management system, and Corsair Link interface previously only found on the top Corsair AXi family.
Stability and reliability
It boasts 92% efficiency, 850W power and is based on a modern technical platform, with quality Japanese capacitors and all protection methods. In tests, the Corsair HX1000i delivered stable output voltages with low ripple/noise. However, he made almost no noise. Otherwise, everything is also more than worthy: high-quality circuitry and components are used, the cooling system is correctly configured, the design meets all modern requirements.
real platinum
In tests, the efficiency of the model has always corresponded to the level of 80+ Platinum, and in general, the results are no worse than the reference Seasonic Platinum models. Although, both are expensive, so any problems in a good way should be viewed under a magnifying glass. Fortunately, there are practically none. The only drawback that we have identified is the increased thermal loading of low-voltage capacitors at low and medium power. However, this drawback is inherent, to one degree or another, in all power supplies with a hybrid cooling system.
