Powerful, fully modular and energy-efficient branded computer power supply with state-of-the-art circuitry and a semi-passive cooling system with a quiet fan. It is the middle model of the Cougar GEX line, which includes high-quality power supplies with a capacity of 650, 750, 850 and 1000 W. It is positioned as a product of the upper price category, focused on use in top gaming PCs equipped with high-performance graphics cards.

Its impressive power and dual EPS/ATX12V 8-pin connectors make it a good choice for AMD Ryzen Threadripper (TR4) and Intel Xeon (LGA3647) HEDT workstation platforms. Thanks to the standard dimensions, it is easy to install in any ATX cases. The Cougar GEX GEX850 power supply is based on a modern platform with efficient circuitry (a resonant LLC converter and a synchronous rectifier with DC-DC converters). It supports active PFC and delivers impressive 80 Plus Gold (>90% efficiency) energy efficiency. Reliably stabilizes the output voltages, is able to give all the power along the + 12V line (current up to 70.8 A). Cooling is provided by a 120mm fan with a long life fluid dynamic bearing and a 9-blade impeller optimized for quiet and efficient low speed operation.
