Model overview based on user reviews
The Cougar VTE600 power supply unit has received mixed reviews from users. Many appreciate its affordable price and the quality of the 12V and 5V cables, which are encased in a steel braid. Users have praised its quiet operation and reliability, noting that it has effectively handled voltage fluctuations without any noise issues like whistling or knocking. However, some users have pointed out that the cables might be a bit short for larger cases, suggesting that an additional 5 cm would be beneficial. On the downside, there is a report of the unit breaking down in less than a month, indicating potential reliability issues for some. Overall, while the Cougar VTE600 is appreciated for its performance and silence, there are concerns about its durability and cable length.
Pros
Cons
Excellent PSU. It's been working for almost a year with me, and there are no whistles, screeches, etc. Has saved me from voltage fluctuations more than once. For a not very high price 12V and 5V cables in steel braid. The 12V and 5V cables are a bit short. Although this may be because my case is not small. I think another 5 cm would not be superfluous there. |
The power supply is awesome, I've been using it for half a year, there's no whistling, no knocking, no surges, I can't hear it at all Silence and quality No |
Broke!!! I can say I hardly used it for three years. The packaging looks nice. And that's all. Not worth the money. Broke. Less than a month of use. use Cougar VTE600 less than month |
