Wireless reincarnation of famous speakers

The Dali Zensor 1 AX acoustics is the wireless reincarnation of the popular Zensor 1 kit from the Danish brand Dali. The first thought that comes to mind when looking at them is how did they do it? With identical modest dimensions, the Zensor 1 AX fit the same branded reinforced speakers, electronics for transmitting an audio signal over the air and a 100 W class D amplifier. It is located in the left leading speaker, to which the second driven speaker joins. The sound source is connected using the usual 3.5 minijack, optical cable or Bluetooth. In the latter case, aptX codecs are used. The type of connection is signaled by the LED on the left speaker, which glows green (3.5 mm), orange (number) and blue (Bluetooth). Simple and clear.

Reinforced cellulose proprietary speakers

Speaking of Dali acoustics, it is impossible to ignore the company's proprietary developments, which she successfully tested in premium acoustics, and then transferred to more affordable sets. We are talking about branded 133 mm drivers made of cellulose interspersed with wood fibers and a dome tweeter with a vigorous drive that provides oscillations at high speed. In contrast to its small dimensions, Zensor 1 AX surprises with its dynamics and volume margin. This set has an excellent sense of rhythm, timbre articulation and extremely expressive bass: if you close your eyes, you can get the feeling that a pair of powerful floorstanding speakers are playing in the room. Great option for small rooms.

Lightness and sophistication

The overall sound of the system is distinguished by lightness and refinement, the tops are clean, the middle is perfectly drawn and does not lose nuances even in a dense sound canvas. The disadvantages of this kit include exactingness. First to the location in the room. Without it, there will be no clear and accurate stage. Secondly, the exactingness to the genres. Powerful, heavy and dynamic music is not their forte, heavy metal and clanging techno loses pressure when listening to Zensor 1, and dense sound sometimes gets in the way of an unrecognizable mess. Although, a lot depends on the source, signal and type of connection. There are also laudatory reviews of techno fans on the network, and assessments in the spirit of “as if they were driving glass with foam plastic, returned it to the store.”
