Model overview based on user reviews
The Denon PMA-1600NE is an integrated amplifier that garners mixed reviews. It is praised for its high-quality circuitry and assembly, delivering a neutral sound with low bass and a clean output. However, some users feel it is overpriced and lacks modern technological advancements, with criticisms on its dim display backlight and lack of backlight on the volume control. While it excels in jazz, its performance in rock music is less impressive, described as lacking the energy and clarity expected from a class AB amplifier. Despite its powerful performance and gorgeous DAC, the Denon PMA-1600NE may not suit all musical tastes, and its price point is a common concern among users.

denon 1500 in its latest incarnation. One of the most popular amplifiers to this day. 2 transformers, large capacitors, a completely separate power amplifier section, everything is feng shui both externally and internally. I clearly remember its sound from when I owned it for 3 years. It's powerful, but the mid-low frequencies, attack, and sound pressure are smeared, blurred, and sugar-coated with some unclear warmth. It has a bloated and very plump bass. It's rhythmic, like a metronome. The essence of Denon sound is rhythmic, which makes popular music sound very strange. It's neutral. Also a Denon sound trait, it doesn't care about emotions; it cares about reproducing all aspects of the sound quantitatively and timely. It's hot. The amplification part gets hot, power units get hot, unjustifiably and excessively wasting energy. There are comparisons to be made. Many similar amplifiers stay cold during playback. It can't play rock like a standard class AB amplifier. It can't at all. No Rock. What comes out on rock doesn't resemble rock, and you just want to turn it off; increasing the volume doesn't help. Overall, it sounds not bad, but it doesn't bring any joy. It performs jazz best, and at presentations, they mostly play jazz. An amplifier of one style. And even that style it performs at a three. And to complete the picture of the impressions of a person born in the last century: With a Denon, every note of a bass machine is like a cannon shot. The midrange is muddy, the highs scream. You listen to an album, and instead of joy, the feeling is as if after a massive military action, heavy. This is a typical inexpensive class AB amplifier of the last century at an extremely inflated price. This is antiquity in which there is no technology. which is not suitable for modern, fast, and in general for 90% of all existing music. use Denon PMA-1600NE less than month |
One of Denon. The quality of the circuitry, the quality of assembly. Low bass. Neutral sound. Overpriced. No backlight on the volume control. Dim display backlight. |
This is not so, then not this, what then is it, devices for a million? Everything like listened to is worth the money. At the Denon pma 800 ne itself, he plays for 37 thousand for 5c plus, then why talk about the pma 1600 is definitely a very cool device Price |
